$2,800 rent, the actual math

Where every dollar goes when ACH does the work.

The pitch is "ACH at 0.8% capped at $5." The reality is six steps and one screen the tenant ever sees. Here's the trip your money takes on the 1st of the month.

  1. 1st of the month ยท Auto-pull

Lease signed in March, rent schedule auto-started April 1st. ACH initiates at 6 a.m. local without you opening anything. Tenant sees the pending debit on their banking app the same morning.

  2. Stripe Connect routes

Funds move from tenant's bank โ†’ Stripe โ†’ your Stripe Connect account. Domivy never sits between you and the money. Each landlord owns their own payouts ledger; we're plumbing.

  3. $5 fee, not $81

    0.8% of $2,800 = $22.40, capped at $5. Card alternative would have been 2.9% + 30ยข = $81.50. You pocket the $76.50 difference, every month, every door.

  4. Day 2 ยท Funds in your bank

ACH settles in 2 business days. $2,795 lands in your operating account on the 3rd. Stripe holds none of it past settlement.

  5. Owner split (if managed)

If you manage this unit for someone else, your 15% management fee auto-routes to your account; the 85% routes to theirs. Two separate transfers, both logged. No monthly invoicing.

  6. Receipt + ledger entry

Tenant gets a receipt PDF at settlement. Your ledger updates with the rent line, the management split, the Stripe fee, and the net. Owner statement on the 1st of next month inherits it all.
